Partnerships
Our key partners are:
- Pupils, Parents and carers
- Local authority and NHS professionals
- Other professionals and experts
- Other schools and colleges
- The local community
Parents and Carers
Working effectively with parents and carers is one of the key priorities for our school. Our Family Footings team ensure that relationships with families are productive and supportive of their children’s educational experience, a relationship that we refer to as ‘Parents as Partners’.
Local Authority and NHS professionals
We use a multidisciplinary approach to all aspects of planning and delivery. This is to draw on expertise from key professions such as occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and educational psychology for direct support to children and for development of staff and the organisation
External input from specialist CAMHS teams and other professionals will be sought and used appropriately.
Other professionals and experts
We look for opportunities to engage with expertise/services that we know will enhance the provision for young people. This may be as a one off or long term basis, dependant on the needs of the school and individual pupils. For example:
- Therapies and counselling
- Therapeutic services e.g. aromatherapy and massage
- Careers advice
Other schools
Partnerships with other schools will enable us to offer a whole range of GCSE, A Level and other courses that as a small school we cannot provide ourselves. It will provide our pupils with the opportunity to take part in the life of other schools e.g. clubs and sports teams.
Local Community
We value being a part of the local community and actively look for opportunities to get involved with local groups and activities. Our hope is for the school to be a resource to the local community.
We will have community representatives on our Local Advisory Board, so that local people help to steer the schools vision and direction.
We support full access to a range of services including:
- Social Care
- Educational Psychologist
- Child and Adolescent consultants
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
- Speech and Language Service
- Occupational Therapy
- Youth Offending Team
- PCSO’s and the Police
- Therapy and counselling services
- Enrichment providers
- Training providers
