Victoria Smith

Since joining Discovery Academy in 2016 it has been an exciting and rewarding journey so far. The school has fresh and motivating approaches to all their students’ academic and pastoral progression. This has been achieved by the development of a strong compassionate ethos with all stakeholders and providing a child-centred approach to their education.

I am currently Phase Leader of Upper School, which means I support both the academic and pastoral progress of the students as well as delivering a range of lessons across the phase.

My work in a range of roles in my previous educational career – both mainstream and special education schools, has helped me with my current role. I am pleased that I teach a range of subjects in our curriculum provision including Geography across the school which last year saw our students achieve Geography GCSE grades.
