I am immensely proud to be Head of School at Discovery Academy within MacIntyre Academies. Within my role, I am in the privileged position to lead staff in order to support children and young people who deserve the very best from us as their trusted adults. Before working at Discovery I held many leadership roles in a mainstream secondary school. I began my career in education as a Teaching Assistant before becoming a qualified teacher in Art & Design.
As Head of School, I am heavily accountable for the strategic and operational aspects of the school. Above all, it is my duty to keep every child and young person safe by championing a culture of excellent safeguarding.
For me, working with young people is a great privilege. It is wonderful to see young people thrive and grow with the support of a cohesive and nurturing team of adults.
