Our trained Family Footings Facilitators work closely with the children and young people at Discovery Academy and their families to ensure that their opinions and perspectives are reflected in how we support them at school. We introduce families to the benefits of using person centred thinking tools and other skills to assist parents. 

Our commitment to Families:

• Regular and productive two way communication with parents/carers to feed in views and discuss progress
• Ongoing involvement in decisions about their child’s education. Eg. the development and reviews of plans including IEPs and EHC plans
• We will provide information that is clear and easy to understand
• Support parents / carers to find out about other services and information
